Sam Kichline
Gets the wheels turning
Local since forever, Sam knows St. Louis and knows people. If Sam isn’t the guy, Sam knows the guy. He came to renovation through years of hands-on handyman work, fifteen years running Lights Out, his Christmas light installation business, and building Maintenance Mate and Gutter Health Pro from the ground up. Sam brings practical experience, entrepreneurial energy, and a gift for turning loose ideas into real plans. He understands that the work is never only about the building. It is also about the people living in it, the neighborhood around it, and keeping everything moving when a project starts growing extra limbs.
Jordy Arp
Gets the walls talking
Part old-house romantic, part building detective, Jordy has always been drawn to old things that refuse to disappear. She grew up in houses being taken apart and put back together, finding her own way into renovation through art and making. Her MFA in Integrated Visual Arts deepened that path through wood sculpture, teaching, and material-based work. The same curiosity that shapes her artwork guides the way she reads buildings through their scars, strange decisions, and hidden possibilities. She knows why it is crooked, what is worth saving, and how to turn history, damage, and stubborn construction problems into something useful, beautiful, and alive again.
Together, they bring local knowledge, practical skill, design thinking, and a shared belief that the best renovations do more than make a building newer.
